Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining a variety of precision machining equipment to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining, and blueprint interpretation will be essential in ensuring that products meet strict quality standards and specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate Haas CNC milling machines, lathes, and manual machining tools to produce precision parts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, Fanuc controls, and CAM programming software to ensure accurate machining operations. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise measurement and quality control. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to specifications. Perform machine setup including tooling selection, calibration, and adjustments to optimize machining performance. Conduct quality inspections during and after production runs to identify defects or deviations using measurement tools and visual inspection techniques. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts and power tools as needed for material handling and assembly tasks. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste through efficient machining practices. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC grinders with proficiency in Fanuc or similar control systems. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software or general blueprint reading skills for mechanical parts. Familiarity with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming for efficient toolpath creation. Knowledge of ONECNC is a plus. Hands-on experience with manual machining techniques including lathe work, grinding, drilling, and use of hand tools. Understanding of measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and apply GD&T standards accurately. Knowledge of M-code programming for CNC operations along with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations. Experience working within manufacturing environments that emphasize safety standards such as proper machine setup and quality inspection procedures.
