  • 45/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Position Overview We are looking for a General Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team in Kalispell, MT.
This opportunity is open to machinists with developing through advanced experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machining equipment and be comfortable working from blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to produce accurate, quality parts. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC, NC, conventional, and special-purpose machines, machining centers, and lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and sample parts. Determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequence, and setup requirements. Perform trial runs to verify machine settings and programmed control data. Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed. Fit and assemble machined components. Measure and verify finished parts for dimensions, alignment, and fit. Identify and address dimensional or machining issues. Follow established manufacturing, safety, and quality procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous machining, CNC, manufacturing, or related hands-on experience preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and measurements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable and safety-conscious work habits. Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team. Willingness to continue developing machining skills. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving mechanical equipment. Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands throughout the workday. Ability to frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
