Job Description

Overview We are currently seeking a high-skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team at Kinequip to assist in the manufacturing of complex, high-precision products for specialty vehicles, lighting and other markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to work with various materials and precision instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up machinery and ensure that all equipment is calibrated and running smoothly Operate CNC milling machines and various automated or manual manufacturing equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining operations. Load, prove out, and make minor edits to CNC programs as required Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Perform assembly and processing of machined parts according to specifications Work safely and identify and correct safety hazards. Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including scrap reduction and cycle time optimization Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced machinists as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Education - 2 Year Associate's degree Proven experience Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM software. Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD systems, and electrical discharge machining is preferred. The can-do attitude with a desire to learn new skills and tackle complex tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the use of hand and power tools Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on experience in reading technical drawings, assembling and testing Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization.
