Full Job Description Hendrick Technical Solutions Location:
4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262 Hendrick Technical Solutions is looking for a skilled and motivated Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. We are seeking someone with solid manual machining experience who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts and is interested in expanding their skill set into CNC machining . This is a great opportunity for an experienced manual machinist who wants to learn new technology and develop their CNC programming, setup, and operation skills while continuing to utilize their existing machining knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, and other conventional machine tools. Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and make adjustments to produce parts to print. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications. Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts and verify dimensional accuracy. Calculate and apply feeds, speeds, tolerances, and basic machining parameters. Perform drilling, turning, milling, boring, tapping, and other machining operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Inspect completed work to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements. Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed. Work closely with engineering and production personnel to develop efficient manufacturing solutions. Assist with machine setup and process improvements. Learn and develop skills in CNC machining, including machine setup, operation, and programming.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Manual Machinist preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of machining practices and processes. Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain attention to detail. Basic knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and material characteristics. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused. Willingness and desire to learn CNC machining and expand technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous CNC machining experience. Basic CNC programming knowledge. Basic CAD experience. Experience working with a variety of metals and materials. Knowledge of GD&T. Basic knowledge of metrology. Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
