If Star Swiss machines feel like home—or you're a seasoned CNC lathe setup pro ready to master Swiss—this is your stage. TekPro is recruiting on behalf of a Wilmington, NC precision manufacturer known for complex, tight‑tolerance components and serious investment in advanced technology and skilled talent. Your mission Deliver flawless parts, on time, every time—without compromising quality. You'll own setups and production on Star Swiss CNC equipment, keeping processes dialed in from the first piece to the last. How you'll win Set up and operate Star Swiss CNC machines with confidence. Handle medium to advanced setups and changeovers. Install tooling, update offsets, and make precise program tweaks. Load and run production to manufacturing plans while maintaining takt. Watch tool wear like a hawk and replace tooling as needed. Run first‑piece inspections and submit internal first articles to Quality. Validate every critical feature using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and more. What proves you're ready Hands‑on Star Swiss setup and operation experience. 4+ years in CNC machining (production or job‑shop). Strong Swiss or CNC lathe setup background. Fluent in blueprints and GD&T fundamentals. Comfort with precision inspection equipment.
Nice to have:
four‑ and five‑axis experience.
Compensation Experienced Star Swiss Setup Machinists:
$32-$40/hr Experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinists (Training into Swiss): $28-$30/hr Operators with a few years of CNC experience: Starting around $25/hr Potential sign‑on bonuses available for exceptional Swiss Machinists. Pathway for lathe experts Bringing a solid CNC lathe setup foundation but new to Swiss? With strong fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn, you can train into Swiss machining here.
