Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manual Machining Experience Required!!! The Machinist is responsible for transforming raw materials into precise parts using manual machining equipment, directly supporting our production process and ensuring products meet customer specifications. This hands-on role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and collaboration with the Machine Shop Supervisor and team members.
Key responsibilities include:
MUST BE ABLE TO
operate manual machining equipment (e.g., lathes, mills) to fabricate parts from raw stock per engineering drawings and customer requirements Maintain, lubricate, and calibrate machines to ensure peak performance and extend equipment life Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish metal components to exact specifications Select and prepare appropriate raw materials for each job based on design and order requirements Transport finished parts to appropriate teams or departments for additional processing or final assembly Learn and utilize relevant software systems associated with machine operation and job tracking CNC knowledge is a plus!! REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual machining Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship Strong desire to learn and grow with evolving technologies and machining techniques
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Over 5 years of hands-on experience in manual machining environments Proficiency operating manual lathes and other conventional machining equipment Completion of a 2-year technical school program or related vocational coursework
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
