In this role, you will operate and program various
HAAS CNC
machines, including lathes and milling centers, to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machininig, blueprint reading and CNC programming will be essential to ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. Applicant must be able to lift 50lbs and work well with others. We are a small efficient job shop that specializes in prototype tools and seldom run production with a 200 part max. Minimum 10 years experience. Duties Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and manual machining tools to produce complex metal parts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Program CNC machines using Bobcad software. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes. Conduct machine setup including tooling selection, fixture installation, calibration, and alignment to ensure accurate production runs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols when handling power tools, hand tools, grinders, and other machinery. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by adjusting machine parameters or tooling as needed to maintain quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC lathes, mills, grinders, or manual machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming using Solid model files. Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications including GD&T tolerances. Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality inspection. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes involving metals; basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and proper use of power tools, hand tools, tooling fixtures, and measurement instruments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly while maintaining high-quality output.
