CNC/EDM Machinist Our manufacturing client needs a CNC/EDM Machinist to join the team at their large, modern facility. If you have at least two years of machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and precision, then this direct-hire role could be a great fit! Responsibilities of the CNC/EDM Machinist- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines to produce precision parts
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and job routers
- Set up and operate EDM equipment (wire EDM, sinker EDM, or both)
- Inspect work for quality
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and tooling
- Document measurements, production data, and inspection results
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Communicate with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists; help train new machinists or apprentices
- Suggest improvements to machining processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput Additional Information Help for Additional Information. Qualifications of the CNC/EDM Machinist
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- 2-5+ years of CNC machining and/or EDM machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with CNC control systems
- Strong math, measurement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to learn new equipment, machining processes, or software
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing preferred
- Experience with CAD/CAM software or writing/modifying G-code programs preferred
- Certification in CNC machining or advanced manufacturing a plus Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.
