Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating both CNC and manual machining equipment while maintaining high standards for precision, quality, and safety. This position requires the ability to read technical drawings, inspect finished parts, and perform a variety of machining operations with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Set up and operate a Doosan Vertical Milling Center . Set up and operate a variety of manual machine tools, including: Knee mill with Prototrak control Drill presses Tapping heads Manual lathe Surface grinder Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including: Calipers Micrometers Optical comparator Dial indicators Electronic height gage Perform manual machining tasks such as hand tapping threads, deburring, polishing, and finishing parts. Ensure parts meet quality standards and engineering specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues as needed. Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2-5 years of machining experience and/or education in Machining Technologies preferred. Experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Basic math skills, including the ability to perform shop calculations. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
