CNC Machinist -
Second Shift Location:
Nashua, NH Work Type:
Full-Time, On-Site Shift:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist responsible for creating prototype machined parts using CNC milling and lathe machines. The position will involve CNC machine setup, operation, programming, CAM preparation, and inspection of parts to meet tight manufacturing requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC lathe machines. Create CNC programs using Mastercam and perform setups to run multiple parts as needed. Prepare CAM files from CAD files, prints, and verbal instructions. Produce parts with a strong focus on accuracy and quick turnaround. Read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances. Perform thorough inspections using appropriate measuring instruments. Adjust machine settings and address quality issues as needed. Perform cleaning, general machine maintenance, and operator preventive maintenance. Maintain organized jobs, materials, and production areas. Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures. Identify and help resolve recurring production issues. Escalate problems to the appropriate shift lead or supervisor. Manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Support on-time delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience operating and setting up CNC milling and/or CNC lathe machines. Some understanding of CNC programming. Experience or education in prototype manufacturing or a related machining environment. Familiarity with Mastercam, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, and Microsoft Office. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, height gauges, and protractors. Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Commitment to continuous learning, quality, safety, and process improvement. Physical & Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise. Regular standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling. Ability to lift and/or move 50+ pounds. Safety equipment, including eye protection and safety shoes, is required. Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and other manufacturing-related conditions.

From $30.00 per hour
