Job Description

Machinist Trainee We are seeking a dependable Machinist Trainee to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone with basic machining experience or mechanical aptitude who is looking to grow their skills in manual machining, precision part production, and equipment assembly support. Responsibilities Operate machine tools under supervision to produce precision parts, typically in steel and stainless steel. Learn to modify parts and materials to support production needs. Assist with testing completed equipment to identify and correct defects. Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep on machinery. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments. Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Produce parts within required tolerances, including some tight-tolerance work as skills develop. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Be on time, dependable, and willing to learn. Qualifications Previous machining experience or vocational/technical training preferred. Ability or willingness to learn manual mills and lathes. Ability to read blueprints or willingness to develop blueprint-reading skills. Familiarity with machine tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail. CNC experience is helpful but not required. Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to be trained.
