CNC Machinist#26-00421 Piscataway, NJ
All On-site Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with a strong background in metal stamping manufacturing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC machinery to fabricate Client components that meet rigorous engineering specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the highest levels of product accuracy and consistency.
Responsibilities:
Set up, calibrate, and efficiently operate CNC milling, turning, and stamping machines. Develop, write, and adjust CNC programs using G-code and M-code to enhance machining processes, ensuring production efficiency and accuracy. Perform regular cycle time analysis and implement adjustments to optimize production runs. Work with a diverse range of metals, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys, to produce high-quality stamped components. Utilize tooling and dies specific for metal stamping applications, ensuring each piece meets stringent design and tolerance specifications. Monitor the stamping process to promptly identify and rectify any discrepancies that may affect production quality. Conduct detailed inspections and measurements of finished products using Client tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment. Implement robust quality assurance protocols to verify that all parts meet the specifications outlined in technical blueprints and customer requirements. Document and analyze inspection results, utilizing statistical methods for quality control and continuous improvement. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines to maximize uptime and performance. Diagnose mechanical and programming issues swiftly and effectively, minimizing disruptions in the production process. Maintain a proactive approach to machine upkeep, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn parts. Work closely with design engineers and production supervisors to provide feedback on design for manufacturability and process improvements. Mentor and support new team members through training on CNC machining techniques, safety protocols, and best practices. Engage in team meetings to discuss production goals, challenges, and strategies for improvement, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. Rigorously adhere to all workplace safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Participate in safety training and drills, promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the facility. Maintain an organized and clean workspace that complies with 5S principles and enhances operational efficiency.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining, particularly in metal stamping and fabrication processes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications with Client. Strong command of CNC programming languages, with experience using CAD/CAM software a distinct advantage. Demonstrated ability to utilize Client measuring and inspection tools for quality assurance. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in CNC machining or a related field is highly preferred.
