Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Job Description Job Description Perform manual machine tasks as needed to support our rotor shop and field service division

KEY FUNCTIONS

: Machine parts to within drawing specifications utilizing manual machines Measure and record existing parts for reverse engineering purposes Manufacture parts utilizing a sample part as reference

WORK QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

Ability to set up and safely operate small engine lathes, milling machines, large vertical lathes, boring mills and misc. other common machine shop equipment. Ability to accurately utilize micrometers (ID and OD), calipers etc. for precision measuring of parts. Ability to read a blueprint Familiar with overhead crane operation Familiar with forklift operation. Experience in utilizing hand and bench grinders Experience in using band saws

Preferred:

Welding experience is a plus

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required:

Minimum of 2 years' experience operating machine shop equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role. Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time or until the end of the assigned shift. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. safely and properly, as needed throughout the assigned shift with or without assistance. Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, balance, and push/pull.
