Job Description

Position Summary The Machinist I operate CNC and manual machine tools, including grinding and milling equipment, to produce precision-manufactured parts according to blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. The position is responsible for machine setup, tooling adjustments, dimensional inspection, quality documentation, and routine equipment maintenance while following all safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC and manual machining equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements. Set up and secure fixtures, cutting tools, materials, and machine accessories. Change cutting tools and adjust feeds and speeds to maintain product quality. Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and pi tapes. Perform inspections and complete required quality documentation. Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic machining issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work effectively with minimal supervision and support team production goals. Follow all company safety, environmental, quality, and Code of Conduct requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Machining or manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Trade school or machining certification preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office. Ability to read blueprints and technical documents. Basic/intermediate math and measurement skills. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality. Effective English communication skills. Physical & Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and handle materials up to 50 lbs. Position may require pushing/pulling loads up to 500 lbs. using material-handling equipment. Work involves exposure to moving machinery, electrical equipment, moderate temperature variations, and a loud manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Experience:
CNC and manual machining equipment: 2 years (Preferred) fixtures, cutting tools, materials, and machine: 2 years (Preferred)
