Machinist III (USA Parkway, NV) The Machinist III independently sets up, operates, and troubleshoots complex manual and CNC machining equipment in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment at our USA Parkway, Nevada facility. This role performs precision machining operations, interprets blueprints and technical specifications, ensures product quality, and supports production efficiency. The Machinist III serves as a technical resource, assists with problem resolution, trains and mentors team members, and performs routine machine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision components to specification. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, bills of materials, and technical drawings. Plan machining sequences and select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds. Inspect completed work using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and accuracy. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues. Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor machine repairs. Train and support other machinists on machine setup, operation, and best practices. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, overhead cranes, and lift trucks as required.
Qualifications:
Five or more years of machining experience, technical certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of CNC and manual machining practices, tooling, and close-tolerance manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and basic machining mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry. Intermediate to advanced CNC programming knowledge may be required. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Regular standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, loud noise, and other industrial conditions.
