CNC Machinist Location:
Long Island, NY Direct Hire opportunity Join a Growing Manufacturer! Our client, one of Long Island's premier manufacturers, is experiencing tremendous growth following an exciting merger. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning machines. Perform machine setups, load parts, adjust offsets, make simple program edits, and operate CNC equipment. Inspect in-process and finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. Run multiple CNC machines as production demands require. Perform basic machine maintenance, including checking oils and coolant levels. Report equipment malfunctions and maintain a safe, organized work area. Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Qualifications 3-5 years of CNC machining or CNC operating experience (aerospace manufacturing preferred). Experience with CNC equipment such as:
Mills:
Mazak, OKK, Niigata Lathes:
Mazak, Puma Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work specifications. Experience holding tight tolerances of ±.0005. Ability to load tooling, replace inserts, and adjust machine offsets. Proficient with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, height gauges, and calipers. Deburring experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass a preemployment screening
Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday 7 am to 5:30 pm with OT as needed
Pay:
