In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and machine programming will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts according to technical specifications Set up CNC equipment by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices to ensure optimal operation Program CNC machinery using G-code, M-code, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, and Mazatrol controls for accurate machining processes Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and tolerances Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools for quality control Perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain productivity and prevent downtime Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining safety standards Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as lathes, milling machines, or CNC grinders in a manufacturing setting Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code, M-code, and Mazatrol control systems Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or general blueprint reading skills Ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances Experience with manual machining tools such as hand tools, power tools, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and grinders Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling setup and machine calibration processes Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming techniques, and precision measurement instruments is a plus Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Join our team as a CNC Machinist where your technical skills will drive precision manufacturing excellence!
