Job Description
Hiring for First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 - 3:30 Overtime available EverFab, Inc. is a leading precision manufacturer in the East Aurora area who is growing at a fast pace. We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Lead Machinist with the right attitude to manage our precision CNC Milling area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising CNC machinists, programming and setting up CNC Mills, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Mazatrol controls, CNC programming, machine setup, blueprint reading, GD&T, and advanced inspection. What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of CNC Mill Operators and Machinists
- Plan and coordinate daily machining activities to meet production schedules
- Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol controls and CAM software
- Set up CNC Mills, select tooling, establish offsets, and verify first-piece quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer requirements
- Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime
- Perform routine machine maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Maintain production, quality, and inspection records
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Qualifications
- 5 + years of advanced CNC Mills Experience in a precision machining environment.
- Ability to perform tool selection, work holding, programming, and op sequencing for new jobs
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting
- Experience running CMM programs and setting up jobs for inspection
- Experience performing advanced manual inspections with familiarity with all hard gauging types
- Expert level in G-Gode, Mazatrol, or other CAM platforms.
- Experience working with tolerances < +/- .0005"
- Experience working with Aerospace alloys, Monel, Ti, Inconel, SS, Al, and plastics
- NYS Journeyman's certificate or equivalent trades training programs Paid vacation and personal time.
