Job Description
Overview:
Winn Mfg Inc. in Granville, NY is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. We do a variety of work from production, to custom job shop work. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. We are a fast-paced shop that is looking for someone who can be self sufficient in setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining tasks.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine the machining process
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process
- Knowledge of manual machining is a plus
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Knowledge of fixture design and building is a plus but not required.
- Cut stock in horizontal band saw
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
- Familiarity with tooling and milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to safely operate power tools
- Not a requirement but a plus if able to write, read, edit, and understand G code programs Phone interview will be the first step, followed by an in person interview.
