The CNC Machinist/Toolroom Apprentice, Machine Shop, will be motivated to develop in our machine shop and toolroom. This is an opportunity to build a long-term career in advanced manufacturing while learning from experienced machinists/toolmakers and working with both traditional machine tools and modern CNC/automation technology. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and results-driven. Key Responsibilities Machining and hands-on mechanical work Working on CNC machines, manual tool room lathes and Bridgeport-type mill; grinding, precision measurement, tooling and mechanical troubleshooting. Operating manual and automatic surface grinders. Performing machining operations on various parts to required accuracy from hand sketches, blueprints, and sample pieces. Removing worn parts and replace / fit new parts on machinery. Working with CAD/CAM design, G-code, robotics, electronics, PLC and automation. Qualifications Prior machining, vocational school, technical school, CNC, robotics and/or hands-on mechanical experience strongly preferred. Interest in CNC machines, manual lathes and mills, grinding, precision measurement, tooling and mechanical troubleshooting. CAD/CAM, G-code, robotics, electronics, PLC or automation exposure is a plus but not mandatory. Mechanical aptitude, reliability, curiosity and a strong desire to learn are essential. Career development can lead to CNC programming, toolmaking, machine building and automation.
