Manth is seeking skilled CNC Swiss- Lath Operators to join our growing 3rd shift team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining machinery by using a sliding headstock to feed a rotating bar of material through a fixed guide bushing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and Maintain Swiss Lathe machines, providing high precision for long, thin parts. Work with shift lead and manufacturing engineers to ensure the bar feeder, loading the workpiece, programmed sequence of tool movements and headstock slides to machine the part. Perform periodic quality check on parts according to blueprint specs. Identify product defects and notify QC team. Conduct or communicate maintenance needs to ensure optimal machinery performance. Complete work in accordance with established safe operating procedures. Work with team and shift supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Swiss lathe machinery experience required. Knowledge of FANUC controls. Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Knowledge of programming machinery for specific tasks. Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc. Attention to detail and quality control practices. Commitment to safe manufacturing practices and procedures.
