Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and play a vital role in producing high-precision metal components. In this energetic position, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce complex metal parts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings Set up CNC equipment by installing tooling, calibrating machines, and verifying machine parameters using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measuring instruments Program CNC machinery utilizing G-code, M-code, CAM programming software, and Mazatrol controls to optimize machining operations Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical specifications accurately to ensure parts meet quality standards Conduct quality inspections during and after machining using measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances in accordance with GD&T standards Perform manual machining tasks when necessary, including using hand tools and power tools for finishing or assembly support Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols during machine setup and operation Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as lathes, milling machines, or CNC grinders with a solid understanding of CNC G-code programming and CNC programming principles Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or general blueprint reading skills for mechanical parts Knowledge of machining tools, measurement techniques, and precision measurement instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and bore gauges Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately and understand GD&T specifications for quality control purposes Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in manual machining processes such as turning on a lathe or grinding components Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine setup parameters Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the manufacturing team Join us in shaping the future of precision manufacturing!
