Schedule:
2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM
•2:00 AM, with optional Friday overtime. Role Overview A leading manufacturing plant located in the Alliance and Youngstown, Ohio region is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Manual Machinist to join their production team. Key Duties Configure and run manual machinery, such as lathes, mills, and horizontal boring equipment, to produce high-quality industrial parts. Analyze technical schematics and production documentation to guide the manufacturing process. Execute independent setups by determining the optimal tooling and operational parameters for custom production runs. Verify that all components adhere to strict specifications by utilizing advanced measurement instrumentation to maintain quality standards. Support the team by performing necessary equipment upkeep and identifying potential mechanical issues to foster a secure work environment. Qualifications Possession of a GED or High School Diploma. Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with manual lathes and boring mills within an industrial or job shop setting. Demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex blueprints and GD&T standards. Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to resolve technical challenges while upholding safety protocols.
