Job Title:
CNC Machinist | 1st shift | $20-$25| Ashland, OH Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Ashland, OH. This position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 6am-3:30pm and Friday from 6am-10am. As a CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC machines, specifically mills or lathes, in a job shop environment to produce precision parts. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders, making machine edits and tool changes, and using various measuring instruments to ensure the accuracy of parts. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines (Mill or Lathe) to produce precision parts. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders. Make machine edits and tool changes as needed. Use micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to ensure accuracy of parts. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality standards. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience operating and setting up CNCs (Mills or Lathes) in a job shop environment. Experience in set up and tear down processes. Proficiency in offsets and tool changes. Ability to choose tooling and use precision measuring equipment to tight tolerances +/- .005. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Proficiency in documenting processes and changes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, or plastic. Knowledge of GD&T, programming, and CNC setup. Familiarity with Fanuc, conversational programming, M code, and machine shop practices. The environment is laid back, clean, safe, and organized. The facility is climate-controlled and features a mix of new and old equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
