Job Description

Study blueprints, drawings, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, operational sequences, and setup requirements. Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines including mills, lathes, and grinders. Operate manual machining equipment to produce parts to specification. Verify conformance of finished workpieces using appropriate measuring devices. Fit and assemble machined components into complete assemblies; verify dimensions and alignment. Install machined replacement parts in machinery and equipment; test units to ensure proper functionality and performance. Review work orders and drawings to fabricate precision metal components. Safely measure, cut, shear, bend, form, grind, file, sand, polish, sandblast, and test parts as required. Use manual mills for drilling and milling operations as needed. Use manual lathes for turning operations as needed. Perform all duties in accordance with company safety procedures and standards. Complete other duties as assigned. Technical school graduates or one to three years of related machining experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedure documents. Proficiency in using measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers. Ability to lift 25-35 pounds regularly and 35-50 pounds occasionally; role requires significant standing, stooping, and bending. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
