Field Line Bore Technician /
Heavy Manual Machinist Direct Hire PositionLocation:
Bolivar, OH Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM We are seeking an experienced Heavy Manual Machinist / Field Line Bore Technician to perform machining and repair work on heavy equipment components both in the shop and at customer locations.

Previous line-boring experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong heavy manual machining background can be trained on Climax portable line-boring equipment and welding processes. ResponsibilitiesPerform approximately 80% field work and 20% shop workMachine and repair heavy equipment components at customer locationsSet up and operate Climax portable line-boring equipmentPerform manual machining using lathes, boring mills, saws, and related equipmentPerform heavy MIG welding as neededRead blueprints and repair specificationsHold tight machining tolerancesUse micrometers, calipers, indicators, thread gauges, and other precision measuring toolsOperate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipmentTravel to customer sites in a company service vehicleQualificationsStrong heavy manual machining experience requiredExperience with manual lathes, boring mills, or similar large machining equipmentPrevious line-boring or portable machining experience is a plus, but training is availableWelding experience is preferred, but candidates with strong machining backgrounds can be trainedHeavy MIG welding is the primary welding process; TIG and stick are used occasionallyAbility to read blueprints and work to tight tolerancesProficiency with precision measuring instrumentsValid Class A CDL requiredAbility to obtain a DOT Medical Card if not already heldMust provide personal hand tools up to 1"High school diploma or equivalent requiredCNC experience is a plus but not requiredSchedule & OvertimeMonday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PMNo on-call rotationOccasional weekday overtime and travelOvertime may reach approximately 10-15 hours during heavier workloadsSaturday work may occasionally be requested but is rareBenefitsEmployer-sponsored pension planHealth insurance options, including HSA optionDental and vision insuranceFirst-year paid time off with additional PTO based on tenureFlexible Spending AccountLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityCompany-provided and laundered uniformsContinued technical and professional trainingCredit union accessScholarship opportunities for employees' spouses and childrenThis is a strong opportunity for an experienced heavy manual machinist who enjoys field work and wants to expand into portable line boring and equipment repair.
