About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a precision manufacturing facility located in the Dayton, Ohio region. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity with a target start date in early September. The shop specializes in processing challenging materials, such as high-temperature alloys like Inconel, and requires a professional capable of managing the entire production process from initial blueprint to final component. Core Responsibilities Execute setups and operation of CNC milling and turning equipment to meet precise specifications. Interpret technical blueprints, operational instructions, and quality inspection criteria. Manage independent setups, tool adjustments, and offset modifications while verifying initial production runs. Perform program edits and resolve technical issues directly at the machine interface. Ensure high quality standards by measuring parts throughout the production cycle using micrometers, indicators, and calipers. Contribute to the success of the shop by safely and effectively machining difficult, high-performance alloys like Inconel. Required Qualifications Ideally possess 5+ years of professional CNC machining background. Demonstrated proficiency in both milling and turning operations. Ability to take full ownership of the machining process from start to finish. Prior experience working with resilient materials like Inconel is highly advantageous. Strong capability to interpret complex blueprints and maintain rigorous tolerance levels. Proven ability to function effectively as an independent contributor and a collaborative team member. Compensation and Benefits Secure a permanent, full-time role directly on the company payroll from your first day. Earn competitive compensation reaching up to $35 per hour, determined by your technical abilities. Join a specialized shop environment focused on high-demand material fabrication. Schedule and Compensation Shift:
1st shift
Pay:
$17 to $35 per hour, commensurate with your skills and experience. Physical Demands The nature of this role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, frequent use of hands and arms, and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently.
