Hours:
1pm-9pm or 2pm-10pm | Onsite in Dayton, OH | Voluntary Overtime Join Us as a CNC Machinist Trainee! We're looking for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a long-term career in machining. In this role, you'll be trained from the ground up to produce high-precision components used in industries where quality matters. This position is ideal for candidates coming from automotive, manufacturing, assembly, or the trades who are ready to learn and take initiative.Your Responsibilities:
As a CNC Machinist Trainee , you will: Set up and operate CNC machining and/or grinding equipment with guidance and training Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to plan machining steps Measure parts using precision tools to verify dimensions and tight tolerances Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met Follow detailed instructions and document results to maintain consistent output Identify and troubleshoot basic machining or quality issues and escalate when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Cross-train in multiple machining areas to expand skills and support production needsYour Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you need:Education:
High school diploma or GED (trade school, vocational training, or apprenticeship is a plus)Experience:
Hands-on mechanical or assembly experience in automotive, manufacturing, hardware retail, or similar environments Technical skills: Mechanical aptitude, spatial awareness, and ability to learn precision measurement tools and blueprint reading Soft skills / behaviors: Initiative, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedbackLocation:
