E/M Machine Builder The Machine Builder is responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly, installation, wiring, plumbing, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and capital equipment . This position requires hands-on experience building machines from engineering drawings and the ability to work through a complete build from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical skills, blueprint/print-reading ability, and hands-on experience using shop tools . Key Skills We Are Seeking Mechanical and electrical assembly experience Ability to read and follow mechanical and electrical prints, blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions Basic understanding of 480V 3-phase electrical systems Basic 24V DC control wiring and main-panel wiring Basic pneumatic plumbing , including push-to-connect/push-lock fittings Ability to use common hand and power tools Experience with drilling and tapping holes Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure Experience using a drill press, band saw, and hammer drill Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Ability to perform full-cycle machine builds , from assembly through testing Strong attention to detail and ability to build equipment to engineering specifications Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team Key Responsibilities Assemble and install mechanical and electrical components for industrial machinery and capital equipment. Build machines according to engineering drawings, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and specifications . Perform basic 480V 3-phase and 24V DC wiring of machine control panels. Install and connect basic pneumatic systems and tubing using push-lock fittings. Drill, tap, cut, fit, align, and assemble machine components as required. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, drill presses, band saws, and other shop equipment. Perform functional testing of completed machinery and verify proper operation. Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues during machine builds. Work with engineers, designers, and other team members to resolve build issues and improve machine functionality. Document assembly, modifications, testing, and troubleshooting activities as required. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience 2+ years of hands-on experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or a related manufacturing environment. Experience with full-cycle machine builds is preferred.
