Full-Time About the Opportunity A leading defense and industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Machinist to join its Fairfield, Ohio production team. This position offers the opportunity to work with CNC mills, lathes, and fabrication equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting mission-critical products. The ideal candidate is a skilled machinist who can independently perform machine setups, troubleshoot machining issues, and consistently produce high-quality work. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment, including 3- and 4-axis machines. Program, monitor, and adjust machines to maintain quality and productivity standards. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify accuracy and precision. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and process adjustments independently. Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor machine maintenance when needed. Support fabrication activities, including cutting, shaping, and assembly operations. Collaborate with team members on process improvements and problem-solving initiatives. What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of machining experience. Experience operating CNC mills and lathes. Ability to edit and work with G-Code and M-Code programs. Ability to read blueprints and interpret X, Y, and Z coordinates. Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to adjust machine speeds, feeds, and setups. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work safely in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-axis CNC machining. Experience working in fabrication or industrial manufacturing environments. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Exposure to defense, marine, industrial equipment, or specialty manufacturing operations. Why Consider This Opportunity?
