Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and measurement tools will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Okuma lathe, Haas milling a plus Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, to produce high-precision parts. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize performance and precision. Conduct quality inspections utilizing measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions. Maintain accurate documentation of machine setups, production logs, inspection reports, and quality control records. setup adjustments as needed to meet tight tolerances. Qualifications Min. 2 years or trade school experience operating manual or CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines. Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Proficiency with machining tools, hand tools, power tools, grinders, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement devices. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Experience with manual machining techniques such as lathe work when necessary for setup or troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during all phases of production.
