A Machinist builds and repairs precisely detailed and sized metal parts used in a variety of tools and appliances. Builds parts following a blueprint or creates original designs.

Schedule:
Four 10-hour days, Monday- Thursday (three day weekends!). Occasional weekend overtime depending on business needs.
What You'll Do:
Utilizing the CNC machines to their full capacity by following the CNC Schedule.
Your day-to-day might include:
Retrieving raw materials, completing machine setups and running provided programs. Reviewing blueprints, drawings, specifications prior to starting to machine to ensure accuracy. Operating a forklift safely and overhead crane while maintaining all safety guidelines. Determining the tools necessary to complete jobs per customer specifications. Modifying machine speed, tooling, cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of job. Working independently with minimal guidance on operational and technical challenges. Concentrating for extended periods of time, paying close attention to detail. Performing daily, weekly and monthly PM tasks to ensure machine longevity, as needed. Other job duties as assigned.
What You Need:
High school diploma or GED. Experience with CNC machines is a bonus - we can also teach you if you are a recent graduate from a trade/technical school Front load forklift experience. Basic math skills required. What the
Job Is Like Physically:
You will need to stand for long periods of time on a concrete floor. You will be in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment being exposed to forklift, machining, and potentially other loud noises. You will need to hear and or see the machine alarms with abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. You must be able to wear all necessary PPE such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, etc. You must have physical stamina and proper use and alignment of material and machinery set-up / changeover.
