You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to produce precision parts and components. This is a full-time position on 2nd shift with competitive pay, benefits and shift differential.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines Read and interpret blueprints and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures and machining methods and sequences. First Article Inspection and inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the production run Must have the ability to maintain close tolerances (within .001) tolerance Knowledge to review and interpret "G" and "M" Code Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations Must have an understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds and tool life Work closely with ME/CNC Programmers on new job prove-out, troubleshooting and improving processes Work with ME department to optimize processes and identify insourcing and reprocessing opportunities Self-starter and self-motivated person, ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work overtime regularly Ability to work well in team environment Supports team and organizational initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

3 years of experience setting up and operating Swiss Lathe or equivalent machine Experience with Mitsubishi controls and Citizen Machines Ability to use Comparator, micrometers, air gages, calipers, profilometer, etc. Strong knowledge of GD&T Ability to setup machines including editing speeds, feeds, tool and fixture offsets Experience in programming CNC machines is a plus

Education:

High school diploma or equivalency
