In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. Duties Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Haas CNC milling machine. Modify CNC programs utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and manual G-code editing to optimize machining processes. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure accurate part production. Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including tool changes, tooling inspections, and calibration checks. Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly, tooling adjustments, or minor repairs as needed. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance safety standards within the machining environment. Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection reports, and production logs for quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues related to machining processes or tooling setups. Support other manufacturing activities such Machine Building as when required. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code; experience with CAM programming software is highly preferred. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings to interpret complex specifications accurately. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling, fixtures, power tools, and precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Knowledge of CNC control systems for machine operation. Ability to work safely with hand tools, tooling setups, welding equipment (if applicable), forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment. Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
