Precision Aero Company is seeking experienced CNC Lathe Machinists to manufacture aircraft wheel and brake components, aerospace fasteners, fuse plugs, and other critical flight hardware. This position requires precision, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality. Candidates must have hands-on CNC lathe machining and setup experience. Machine operation experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position. What You'll Do Set up and operate horizontal CNC lathes to produce precision parts that meet customer specifications. Perform turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading operations. Read blueprints, job routers, and work instructions to determine tooling needs and the sequence of operations. Maintain close tolerances and achieve required surface finishes. Use precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques to verify dimensional accuracy and finished-part quality. Identify machining issues and contribute to process improvements. Meet established quality and productivity standards while following safety procedures and wearing required PPE. Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other equipment or duties as needed. What You'll Bring Prior CNC lathe machining experience, including machine setup. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, gages, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills, including decimal calculations. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Effective problem-solving and communication skills. Dependability, regular attendance, and the ability to work well with coworkers and leadership. Availability to work required overtime, which may be substantial during peak production periods. High school diploma or GED. Physical Requirements This role involves standing for extended periods; lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds; and bending, twisting, carrying, walking, sitting, stooping, and kneeling as needed. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including job-related vision requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ready to bring your machining experience to Precision Aero? Apply with your resume highlighting your CNC lathe setup and machining experience.
