Job Overview:
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement. Hours are Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm, with OT when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as milling machines and lathes, both CNC and manual machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy
- Operate CNC machines using Fanuc controls a plus
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and implement lean manufacturing principles
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with CNC operation
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain print specifications
