Job Description

Overview Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our small manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in manual machining processes including lathe, mill and grinder, CNC programming, and precision measurement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with manufacturing equipment and contribute to high-quality production standards in a dynamic environment. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and experience with various machining tools and techniques. Duties Operate CNC and manual milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to produce precise parts. Program CNC machines Set up tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications Maintain machine calibration and perform routine maintenance on shop equipment Utilize hand tools, power tools and tooling to assemble or modify parts as needed Follow safety protocols Assist with product improvement, engineering and production assembly. Skills Minimum 3 years experience with manual lathe CNC programming and operation of milling machines Understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical drawings Familiar with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc. Mechanical aptitude Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and tooling setup Forklift operation is a plus Experience with purchasing, inventory control and working with vendors is a plus. This position requires a dedicated individual capable of working in a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise across multiple machining disciplines while adhering to safety standards. personal tools are not required.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
