Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC lathes. This is not a load-and-unload operator position. Candidates must be comfortable completing machine setups, editing programs at the control, changing tooling, making offsets, and using G and M codes to produce accurate parts. PM Pay:
$20-$30 per hour, based on experience Key Responsibilities Independently set up and operate CNC lathes Edit CNC programs at the machine as needed Perform tooling changes and adjust machine offsets Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions Apply working knowledge of G and M codes during setup and production Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Inspect completed parts and make adjustments to maintain quality Troubleshoot machining issues and correct problems as needed Monitor machine performance and production throughout the run Maintain accurate production and inspection records Keep the work area clean and organized Follow all company safety and quality procedures Qualifications At least two to three years of direct CNC lathe setup and machining experience required Five or more years of CNC lathe experience strongly preferred Ability to independently perform complete machine setups Experience editing CNC programs at the control Working knowledge of G and M codes Experience performing tooling changes and offsets Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong understanding of machining processes, dimensions, and tolerances Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Dependable attendance and ability to work with minimal supervision Required Personal Tools Candidates must provide their own basic machinist tools, including: Dial calipers 0-6-inch outside diameter micrometers Machinist scale Basic hand tools Benefits Our client offers an exceptional benefits package that includes: 100% employer-paid health insurance 100% employer-paid dental insurance 100% employer-paid vision insurance Employer-paid short-term disability Employer-paid long-term disability Employer-paid life insurance Five vacation days after six months Two weeks of vacation after one year Additional Requirements This position is considered safety-sensitive Candidates must successfully complete required pre-employment screenings We are looking for a capable machinist who can take ownership of the setup and production process, solve problems at the machine, and consistently produce quality parts.
