CNC Machinist - Shift 6:00am to 2:00pm Abacus Service Corporation - 5.0 Claremore, OK Job Details Contract $35 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Monitoring dimensions Industrial equipment adjustment Manufacturing facility experience Mechanical drawings Dimensional measurements Geometry Ability to follow instructions Milling machines Algebra Equipment adjustment (production tasks) Full Job Description Position Summary Sets up and operates CNC lathes, mills, saws, and/or related machining equipment to manufacture precision components. The ideal candidate possesses strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to interpret engineering specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, saws, and related machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Produce precision components to engineering specifications and quality standards. Monitor machining operations and adjust machine settings as needed. Calculate dimensions, tolerances, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters. Perform basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments. Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Required:
Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience.
Ability to read and interpret:
Blueprints Safety rules Operating and maintenance instructions Procedure manuals Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts to machining operations. Ability to calculate dimensions and make machine adjustments.
Preferred:
Experience operating CNC lathes, mills, and saws. Journeyman-level machining skills. Experience in a manufacturing or oilfield equipment production environment
Pay:
$35.00 per hour
