Job Description
Job summary Responsible for assisting with the production process in a manufacturing machine shop. Must be able to program and operate CNC mills and/or lathes as well as basic manual shop equipment. Pay based on experience Responsibilities/daily tasks Program and operate CNC machines. Determine feed and speed rates for metals such as aluminum, steel, and stainless. Read drawings and follow blueprints. Follow travelers and work instructions. Sweep and remove debris, maintain a clean work area. Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies. Lubricate equipment. Ensure conformance to specifications. Mark parts for identification. Scrape waste material from machine. Read and interpret gauges. Load and unload processing equipment. Take instructions from supervisors. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. Must pass a drug test and background check. Qualifications HS Diploma or Equivalent Knowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and programming. Would prefer 2+ years experience in operating CNC mills and lathes.
