CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:

Read production orders, gauges, interpret blueprints and material specifications. Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring and sawing. Inspect with the appropriate gauging technique. Perform traceability marking and documentation. Operation of overhead crane and forklift Basic equipment and tooling upkeep. Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication.

CNC Machinist Skills and Requirements:

Strong math skills, including decimals and fraction. Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance and operation Mechanically inclined with basic machinery and tooling knowledge Ability to read, write and communicate well. Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures. Computer knowledge Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or less. High School diploma Prior experience as a CNC Operator or a completion of a CNC program from a technical or trade school
