Manual Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist who can follow detailed instructions and utilize various measuring devices, including micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales. The ideal candidate will be adept at setting up and operating lathes, mills, grinders, and other machinery, choosing the correct tooling and adjusting machines during the machining process to maintain given tolerances. Responsibilities Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machines. Choose the correct tooling for machining tasks. Adjust machines during the machining process to maintain specified tolerances. Machine components to critical, close dimensions. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Problem-solve to address missing information or dimensions in blueprints. Manufacture items from drawing to completion with minimal supervision. Essential Skills Experience with manual lathes for at least 1+ years. Proficiency in using measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, and scales. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Problem-solving skills for addressing missing information or dimensions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with manual mills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
