Job Description

PRST - PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Machinist / Structural Steel Mechanic to join our team. We're looking for dependable, safety-minded tradespeople who have strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience working with heavy structural steel, metal fabrication, cutting, fitting, and mechanical installation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable working outdoors and around large steel structures, machinery, and equipment. Candidates with welding experience or welding certifications are encouraged to apply.

Lcolburn@peopleready.comWhat You'll DoCut, fit, assemble, and install heavy structural steel and mechanical componentsWork with thick structural steel and large metal componentsUse torches, saws, grinders, drills, impact tools, and other hand and power toolsMeasure, mark, drill, cut, grind, fit, and fasten steel componentsCut or remove sections of steel from structures and equipment as requiredBuild and install metal staircases, platforms, supports, frames, and other structural componentsWork on storage tanks, industrial equipment, and large metal structuresPerform mechanical and structural installation work in industrial and construction environmentsRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, technical drawings, and work instructionsEnsure proper alignment, fit, dimensions, and quality of structural assembliesWork around and assist with welding operations; welding experience is a plusMaintain and safely operate tools and equipmentFollow all company and job-site safety requirementsWork outdoors and in physically demanding environments as needed
