In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating precision alignment machines to ensure optimal performance and accuracy in metal machining processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to producing high-quality components with tight tolerances, supporting our commitment to manufacturing excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about precision machining and dedicated to continuous improvement. Responsibilities Set up and calibrate alignment machines, ensuring precise positioning and measurement of metal parts Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute accurate machine setups Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measuring instruments for quality control Program and operate CNC machining equipment, including CNC lathe and milling machines, using G-code and M-code commands Perform manual machining tasks using hand tools, grinders, lathes, and other machining tools as needed for fine adjustments Conduct regular machine inspections and troubleshooting to maintain optimal operation and prevent downtime Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to refine processes, improve machine setups, and ensure adherence to GD&T standards Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code, M-code, Fanuc controls, and CAM software for efficient machine operation Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills for interpreting mechanical drawings Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques and tooling setup for complex parts Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining tools, measurement instruments, and mechanical blueprint interpretation Ability to perform precision measurement in machining using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other quality control tools Familiarity with manufacturing processes involving CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, grinders, and manual machining equipment Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments Knowledge of CNC G-code programming for machine setup and operation in a high-volume production environment Understanding of GD&T principles to ensure parts meet strict dimensional specifications Ability to work safely with power tools, hand tools, tooling fixtures, and assembly components while maintaining quality standards Join our team as an Alignment Machine Operator if you're eager to apply your technical skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
