Job Description

$20.39-$27.66/hr + Guaranteed $3/hr Profit Sharing | Union | Specialized Training Take the machining experience you already have and turn it into a long-term skilled trade career. We're hiring CNC Machinists and Machine Operators for a large heavy-manufacturing facility producing some of the largest steel forgings in the U.S. , including highly specialized work supporting the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense. This isn't your typical machine shop. You'll have the opportunity to train on massive, specialized machinery that very few machinists ever get the chance to work with . You don't need experience on their exact equipment—they're looking for candidates who already have a machining foundation and want to take their skills to the next level. Their specialized equipment includes large-scale CNC vertical and horizontal boring mills used to machine extremely large and heavy components. What You'll Do Operate CNC, lathe, mill, boring mill, or similar machining equipment Machine and inspect large steel components Read work orders, prints and machining specifications Make machine and tooling adjustments Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality Learn specialized heavy-machining equipment through hands-on training What We're Looking For 1+ year of relevant machining or machine-operation experience required Previous exposure to and understanding of the type of machining position being considered Mechanically inclined with solid basic math skills High school diploma or GED Reliable and looking for a stable, long-term career Comfortable in a heavy industrial environment Must meet company background requirements and pass required drug screening Must be a U.S. citizen Why Build Your Career Here? $20.39-$27.66/hr starting base pay Guaranteed additional $3 for every hour worked , accrued toward twice-annual profit-sharing payouts Union position Excellent benefits Extensive paid training Exposure to specialized equipment and machining processes that are difficult to find elsewhere Opportunity to build highly valuable heavy-machining skills Long-term career and advancement potential You already have the foundation.
