Machinist Universal Stainless - 2.1 Bridgeville, PA Job Details Full-time $27.30 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Machine tool maintenance Mechanical blueprint interpretation Sketching Engineering equipment malfunctions diagnostics Drill presses Maintaining an organized workspace Inspection tools Defect resolution root cause analysis Grinding machine operation Specialized industrial tools Mechanical fabrication Defect analysis Moving Machine cleaning Routine inspections Mid-level Forklift Industrial equipment installation Mechanical drawings Power transmission system maintenance Analysis skills Bridge crane operation Precision measurement in machining Equipment malfunction response Power tools Milling machines Clean workspace maintenance Precision assembly Manual machining Hand tools Full Job Description Primary Function Repair and assemble all types of mill machine equipment Basic Responsibilities Operate commonly used machine tools Operate fork truck and/or overhead crane to move supplies and equipment Conduct general preventative maintenance on machines including but not limited to cleaning and oiling Fit and assemble machine parts Construct and repair all types of tools Inspect, change and refit all types of mill bearings Interpret blueprints and part drawings and prepare ship and field sketches Assist in installation of new equipment and relocation of existing equipment Assist in analysis of equipment failures and make recommendations of how to eliminate in the future Maintain a safe and clean work area Sources of Supervision Generally works independently and does not require close supervision Position reports to Maintenance Supervisor Tools and Equipment Lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, planers, key seaters, broaching machines, precision grinders, drill presses, boring machines and various hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Skills Mechanical ability Analytical ability Detail oriented Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience Previous machining experience in a steel-related environment Education/Training Certified Machinist preferred
