Flight Assembly Machinist Posted on April 24, 2025 April 24, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a Flight Assembly Machinist to support our client's high-performance mobile manufacturing team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong machining skills and a passion for innovation in packaging automation. You will play a key part in fabricating and modifying parts for our patented mobile production system, working closely with engineering and operations to ensure precision and efficiency. Position Responsibilities Machining and Fabrication Fabricate and modify parts based on technical drawings and specifications Perform setups and operate CNC mills, manual mills, lathes, and drill presses Interpret complex technical drawings and instructions with precision Assembly and Upgrades Support assembly efforts for Sojo Flight™ mobile rovers Install modifications, materials, and upgrades to machines and subassemblies Provide feedback and updates to engineering through accurate redlining of drawings Maintenance and Shop Support Lubricate, clean, and service shop equipment as needed Maintain a safe and organized workspace at all times Collaboration and Documentation Work alongside engineering and operations teams to enhance quality and performance Follow schedules and procedures while recording updates in internal systems Prerequisites 2-5 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing or assembly environment Proficiency with hand tools and machining equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong sense of ownership and urgency Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time Eligible to work in the U.S. Valid Driver's License Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) Forklift Certification Electrical troubleshooting experience Familiarity with
