Multiple shifts may be available Position Overview All Seasons Placement is currently seeking an experienced Swiss Mill Machinist for a precision manufacturing opportunity in Erie County, Pennsylvania. We are looking for a skilled machinist with experience operating, setting up, and/or programming Swiss-style CNC mill/machining equipment . This position involves manufacturing small, complex, high-precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and strict quality standards. Candidates with strong Swiss machining, CNC milling, setup, tooling, and programming experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Set up and operate Swiss CNC mill/machining equipment Manufacture complex precision components according to blueprints and specifications Perform complete machine setups and changeovers Select, install, and adjust cutting tools and related tooling Establish and adjust machine offsets Monitor feeds, speeds, tooling, and overall machine performance Perform milling operations on complex precision components Troubleshoot tooling, setup, dimensional, and machining issues Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T Maintain tight dimensional and geometric tolerances Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Identify tool wear and make necessary corrections Inspect completed components for dimensional accuracy and quality Maintain production and inspection documentation Work with engineering and quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues Follow established safety and quality procedures Preferred Qualifications Previous Swiss Mill / Swiss CNC machining experience CNC milling experience Machine setup and changeover experience Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining practices Ability to make offsets and machine adjustments Ability to read and understand complex blueprints Knowledge of GD&T Experience working with tight tolerances Proficiency with precision measuring equipment Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling problems Strong mechanical aptitude Good attendance and employment history Swiss CNC programming experience is highly desirable and may qualify candidates for higher compensation. Multiple Skill Levels ConsideredSwiss Mill Operator Operates established jobs, monitors production, changes tools as required, performs inspections, and makes basic machine adjustments. Swiss Mill Setup Machinist Independently performs machine setups and changeovers, establishes tooling and offsets, completes first-piece inspections, and troubleshoots machining issues. Swiss Mill Programmer / Setup Machinist Programs, sets up, proves out, troubleshoots, and optimizes Swiss milling/machining operations. Candidates at this level should have a strong understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds, complex machining processes, and tight-tolerance manufacturing.
