Overview The CNC Machinist supports the Maintenance department by programming, setting up, and operating manual and CNC equipment to machine, repair, and fabricate parts that keep production equipment operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate mills, lathes, and EDM equipment to produce and repair parts Machine and fabricate tools, dies, and assemblies from blueprints and specifications Verify accuracy and maintain tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments Support equipment repair and maintenance through high-quality machining work Key Requirements Strong CNC machining experience, including mills, lathes, and EDM Ability to independently program, set up, and operate equipment Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings Proven ability to hold tight tolerances with strong attention to detail Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Die-making experience preferred Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening Why DMI? $30/hr + DOE Steady weekday 4x10 schedule Medical, prescription, dental, vision premiums at no cost to employee, including family coverage Pension, 401K, paid holidays, paid vacation, opportunities for advancement and more Company Profile Founded in 1978, DMI Companies is a family-owned business and a trusted leader in manufacturing HVAC accessories for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
