Experience is valued, but attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and interested in working on large parts and complex setups in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Operate and assist with setup of CNC and/or manual machine tools Work with large components and custom one-off or short-run parts Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and maintain quality standards Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean Follow shop safety procedures and company standards Work closely with experienced machinists and supervisors during training Qualifications Previous machining experience is preferred but not required Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work well in a team environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to lift materials and work around large equipment safely Basic math and measuring skills Alkab Machine & Welding is a medium-sized machining job shop specializing in large, custom-machined components for a variety of industries.
